An estimated 10,000 children live on the streets of Uganda and have been displaced by war, famine or the deaths of their parents. “Street Children” are exposed to a multitude of dangers: gang violence, sex slavery, human trafficking and starvation. The Street Child Project has helped over 500 boys and girls by providing each one with a safe home, food, an education and health care. The Street Child Project is in the process of acquiring land to build additional housing to help even more children who will otherwise go without. The Street Child Project operates exclusively on donations; and unlike other non-profits, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly toward bettering the lives of Ugandan Children provided for by The Street Child Project.
